Have you ever had a phrase that you have hated to hear? Recently I have been on an anti-roommate-word-usage escapade.
My roommate Joe just has a habit of confirming that you are listening by saying "Do you know what I mean?" all the time. And now that I hate hearing him say that phrase, I am catching many more people say that horrible phrase.
Not to be mean and not trying to sound horrible, but I honestly am desiring to avoid conversations with Joe because I can't stand hearing that phrase after almost every sentence he says.
I do talk to him, but I avoid conversations that require thought or any listening skills. I wouldn't mind talking to him if he did not have that annoying habit. Do you know what I mean?
