Corporate America

When I was at work on the day of the Blast-O-Butter incident, I was very upset at work. All I could think was, “What in the hell is going on with companies in the United States”. The company I work for certainly is not the only company run by morons. Sometimes I think that school children could run a business better than some of the people who run Big Planet.

My big complaint this day is that my company is that they just give skill sets to those of us on the phones and just expect us to support the products. At any time while working at the call center you can just expect some new call type come onto your screen. So I am dealing with a new product that we support now and I have no clue on how to use the product. The product is cool and I think it is a worthwhile product, but when someone calls in and asks me about the product, I have to tell them to wait and hold or just tell them that I have never used the product and I have no idea on how to place a call, which is the most basic feature of this calling service that we support. I usually just tell all customers to call in when there are actually people trained on how to do anything with the product.

The thing that annoys me the most is that they have promised me access to this product so that I can learn how to use it, and they never give me an account. It has been over 2 months now. And to my annoyance, the people who do not take phone calls and those that don’t even support the crap at all like secretaries have an account to use this calling service.

At times I just hate corporate America. Maybe I should start an organization called Idiots of American Businesses. I could name a handful of people that should be invited.
