What you will read below is an example of what I have to deal with on a constant basis here at Big Planet on the phones. People like the person below is what is driving me to an early grave. What I have below is the exact conversation that I had with this person on chat. I will let you decide if I am just complaining about my job.

Problem
(319)758-9337 is not allowing mail to be sent.
this is the only pop in the are and with the changes to the dns numbers and the mail server (which
I'm sure you're well aware of) this pop does not allow the customer to send mail, still.
Resolution
Please alert the server of the problem.
I don't know what other information you need from us to complete this request but i can confirm that her settings are correct, her account is active and she is able to connect to the internet and
receive email.

Steven: Hello, I was looking up that reference number for you.
Steven: I see that we were able to send email on that number and that it is not having problems on our end. What error are you getting now, or what is going on that indicates is not working?
Annabelle: I just tried it again. It says 'rejected by the server'
Annabelle: You still there?
Annabelle: What's going on?
Steven: Is it just one email that it is rejecting or all emails you send out? How many emails are in your outbox?
Annabelle: I only have one at this time.
Steven: Try sending an email to someone else and see if it gets stuck in your outbox.
Annabelle: But I need to send that one out. I need to send to that person, not another person
Annabelle: Why would I want to send it to somebody else?
Annabelle: They have no right to see my email.
Annabelle: Let me speak to your supervisor.
Steven: I am just testing your computer to see if it is just rejecting that one email.
Annabelle: Is there anyone else there I can speak with>
Steven: All I am asking is if you could send and email to someone else and see if it is being rejected. Send a message that says testing, you could even send an email to yourself to test to see if it gets stuck in the outbox.
Steven: Will you do this for me please?
Annabelle: I don't want to speak with you anymore. I will just call in and get someone a little more competent.
