30's and Up Dances

I have always wondered what 30’s and up dances were all about. To my unfortunate pleasure I have this opportunity to explain to you all about what goes on in these strange events.

First of all let me describe some of my favorite people I saw at the dance.

80 year old radio player:
Sorry to make fun of this guy, but he sat all night on a bench listening to a portable radio with his ear phones. I am sure he went there with the intentions of possibly interacting with others because he was lonely, but I think he probably did not meet his soul mate because he sat the whole time on the bench.

70 year old Olympic runner:
The Olympics are great and this guy I don’t think he has left that clothing since he ran with the torch. He just walked around the dance area showing his torch dressed in all of his Olympic gear.

35 year old Britney Spears:
This girl was beginning to run low on the youth pill. Not a bad looking girl, but I personally think that she should try to think about a new look. Hopefully she does not take this revealing wardrobe too much farther into the future.

35 year old Muscle man:
This guy you can tell he works out and you know that when he was wearing that tight shirt he was hoping to impress all the girls with his muscles. It is sort of strange that he is still single with all those muscles. I would have figured he would have been taken long ago.

Yes there were many more people there who I don’t inspire to be like, but due to lack of wanting to say much more, I am inspired to try to be married before I am 30 years old.

Yes as you can guess I did very little dancing that night. When I walked into the dance I had no idea it was an LDS 30’s and up singles dance. It was only after talking to someone about half way through the dance did I find out what type of dance it was. The dance was not my idea. I was dragged into it and I had no other choice than to just be there and watch all the people at the dance. So I danced with the girl that I went there with and that is about all that I did.
