Registration

I was in quite the bad mood today. I knew I was in trouble and was going to be irritable, but I just had to face the challenges of the day. I was going to get my car registered and get a Utah drivers license.

I think I was irritable because I was hungry and it was hot everywhere I went and I knew that I was going to be spending money that I should not be spending but had to so that I would be driving legally.

The first spot I stopped was where you register your car. I found out all the stupid things I had to do so that I could stand in a line to get my car registered. After that I went and paid someone $40 for 10 minutes of work to tell me that there were no safety or emissions problems.

So far with just getting the safety and emissions done, I had spent about 2 hours waiting in lines and waiting on people to do things for me. After that I went to go get my drivers license. The driver’s license line took about an hour. The worst part of the whole thing was when I went to get into my car, my keys were locked inside.

I would have just used my cell phone to call someone to pick me up, but I left my phone with my roommate who needed to make a long distance phone call. I was so irritable and annoyed when I left my house that I did not want to deal with getting my roommate off my phone. So I just left and went to deal with getting registered.

So I was in North Orem with nobody to call because all phone numbers are in my phone. I went to get some money out of the ATM and they charged me $2 to pull out $10 so I was ticked about that. I went to call Jeff because he is the only person I know in the phone book and he was not at home. I did not know his cell number so I kept calling him and my phone hoping that my roommate would pick up my phone or that Jeff or Alison would get home and then come pick me up.

Matt did pick up my phone and he was in North Orem at the time doing some stuff in town. I told him my situation and he came over and picked me up in a few minutes. And after I hung up the phone the stupid phone did not give me back my change. So I was mad about that.

So Matt came and picked me up and took me home and I got my key and rushed back to the drivers license place because there was a sign there that said any cars parked here after 6:00 will be towed. So I hurried to get my car so that I would not have something else to be mad about.
