Want A Banana?

I was thinking back tonight about funny things that have happened that I never wrote about, and a story popped into my mind. This story is about my Roommate Matt and my roommate Eric. I was eating a banana one day and I was talking to Eric, and Matt (the new roommate) was talking with us. Just to show a little twist into the conversation and to see what Matt would think, while I was talking and getting ready to eat my second banana I just took a big bite off the end of the banana instead of pealing it.

I took a bite of the banana, chewed, and swallowed, and pealed the rest of the banana and ate the rest. That is of course what I wanted my roommate Matt to believe. He just stared at me the whole time while I ate the banana. He could not believe that I took a whole huge mouthful off the end of the banana and ate it. He stared at me and I dared him to do it.  I told him that it was not bad, just tasted funny or something like that. I told him that if I could do it so could he.  Also, a few days before he talked about how it is hard for him to turn down dares. So I got him a banana and he took his bite and started chewing.

Eric had seen what I had done. I took a large bite off the banana and pretended to chew while I pealed portion of the banana in my mouth. Once I had done that I chewed on the banana and cheeked the peal. Before my mouth was empty I had started pealing the rest of the banana and then ate the rest of the banana as a normal person would. Once I was done with my banana I turned towards the garbage can to throw the peal away and when I did that I spit the peal that was in my mouth out and turned back towards Matt and he believed that I had really done it.

Watching Matt eat the peal was a moment worth cherishing for years. Not that I enjoy making others miserable, but it was so funny seeing his expressions through the process. I knew that it was a horrible experience for him. The peal that was in my cheek was bothering me and making me sick. Chewing the thing would have been terrible. As he finished swallowing the peal and started eating the normal part of the banana, I told him what I had done.

Now that several months have passed by, I am sure that Matt thinks this story is funny now.
